    Panel Will Explore How Leading Nashville Entrepreneurs Built a Strong Corporate Culture to Supercharge Their Business Growth

    Led by Author Joe Calloway, Free Breakfast Event Open To The Public

    NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 14, 2014 – Leading Nashville IT company bytes of knowledge announced today that it is sponsoring a panel discussion on corporate culture moderated by renowned author and business advisor Joe Calloway. The free breakfast event is open to the public and will take place from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. on March 3, 2014 at bytes of knowledge’s Germantown offices, 1212 Sixth Avenue North.

    The event is part of a series of panel discussions sponsored by bytes of knowledge about how business owners succeed by “being the best at what matters most,” the name of Calloway’s newest book. The premise of his book is that companies get off track when they try to “amaze” and “delight” their customers instead of simply doing a really good job of producing the products and services that customers want.

    As Calloway elaborates throughout his book, being the best at what matters most invariably involves creating a strong corporate culture. Happy, committed employees are essential to attracting and keeping customers who are happy with your service or product and committed to continue paying for it.

    Panelists for the March 3 event include four of Nashville’s most high profile entrepreneurs, including two past presidents of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization of Nashville, one of the fastest growing EO chapters in the world:

    Sherry Stewart Deutschmann: Deutschmann is the founder and CEO of LetterLogic, Inc., a  $30 million company that processes and delivers statements and invoices for businesses in 44 states. Since founding the company in her garage in 2002, Deutschmann has evolved LetterLogic into one of the country’s fastest-growing companies. It was named to the Inc. 5000 list for seven consecutive years. In November 2013, Deutschmann was inducted into the Nashville Entrepreneur Center Hall of Fame, the second woman ever to be named to this prestigious group. Deutschmann attributes the success of LetterLogic to its unique employee-centric culture where the employee, not the customer, comes first.

    Arnie Malham: Malham launched cj Advertising in 1995. It has since grown into the largest full-service advertising agency in the country exclusively serving personal injury lawyers. The agency features extraordinary expertise in branding, obsessively measured direct response media management, and a talented interactive team that serves only the agency client base. Malham believes that different is better than good; that outliers are fascinating; and that mindset is everything. He is an active member of Nashville’s Entrepreneurs’ Organization and served as the organization’s president in 2009.

    Clint Smith: Smith is the co-founder and CEO of Emma®, the digital marketing service that helps nearly 50,000 organizations around the world create, send, and track their email newsletters and campaigns. Launched in 2003, Emma currently has a staff of around 100 exceptionally talented employees located in its Nashville, Tenn., Portland, Ore. and New York offices. The company made the Inc. 5000 list three consecutive years and was recently enshrined in the “Future 50” Hall of Fame after making the list of Nashville’s fastest growing private companies five consecutive years. Emma has also been named an Inc. Magazine “Winning Workplace” and a Nashville Business Journal “Best Place to Work.” Smith also served as president of Nashville Entrepreneurs’ Organization in 2010.

    Alex Tolbert: In June 2006, Tolbert created Bernard Health, the first company in the country to offer non-commissioned expert advice on health insurance. Tolbert is an expert in health insurance, Medicare, Health Savings Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, Consumer-Driven Health Care, Web-based benefits administration and retail-based health care advisory. In 2011, Tolbert was named the Most Innovative Broker and a Healthcare Consumerism Superstar. Tolbert is a member of Nashville Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO).
